So, this is my first Christmas away from my immediate family. What am I going to do with myself?!?! Well, for one thing, I am not really feeling in the Christmas spirit. I am not sure if that is because I am working like a maniac at Nordstrom selling everyone their Christmas gifts for other people, or because I am not with my family and their amazingly decorated houses. I think part of it is that I am just getting older. It is kind of like birthdays as you get older...not as great as when you were little. But, I will say Christmas is so great since my sisters have had kids. That is the best part, watching them open their gifts!!
FYI, Nyack and NYC are the most magical places at Christmastime. I cannot even handle how much I love where I live. Throw Christmas in there and it is glorious!! The tree and ice rink at Rockefeller Center, check. Hot Chocolate and walking around the city, check. Looking at department store Christmas window displays, check. Being overly excited to be living in NYC at Christmastime, check, check, and CHECK!
I will be spending Christmas Eve with my G-parents in upstate NY, then heading to my Uncle Walt and Aunt Sharlee's (and Sadie and Emily) for Christmas and the rest of the weekend!! You can be sure there will be lots of laughs, food and booze happening. I CANNOT WAIT!!! (I will be posting pics of all of my NYC and VT Christmas adventures, don't you worry!)
Here's wishing you a Holly Jolly Christmas!!!!
