Are You Lying to Me?

The other night, I was in the kitchen showing Hillary our ridiculous alley pics on Facebook when this conversation struck up with my 6 year old niece, Lucy, from the stairs. Lucy wanted Hillary to come upstairs because she could not get to sleep:

Lucy: "Mom, can you come up here?"
Hillary: "Yes, in 3 minutes."
Lucy: "Do you promise?"
Hillary: "Yes."
Lucy: "Are you telling the truth?"
Hillary: "Lucy, when I promise that means I am telling the truth."
Lucy: "Okay, I will count to 60, 3 times"

At this point, I was dying laughing as quietly as possible, of course. Oh kids, they are ridiculously awesome!
